[Placed under the tree in the shared chalet where Tachibana and the others are passing the holiday is a package for him. Inside is a diamond-shaped wooden pendant, a small screwdriver set, and a box of handmade chocolate truffles. Included is a small card that reads:]

I'm still pretty banged up

I was super confused when I woke up at the hospital
but the folks at the medical center explained to me what happened
Just my luck being at the wrong place and the wrong time like that

Who was it that attempted to cause the destruction of all living beings on the planet in the pursuit of personal power, precisely? I would almost guess Joker, but his motivations seem to have changed.

[[There's a bit of a pause as he remembers that oh right.... Isaka would have no way of knowing...]]

He wanted to win the Fight himself.

So he arranged to have it restarted.

[ There's... a delay in Isaka sending a response. He needs a moment to process that. ]

He wanted to what?

What in the fuck?

...even if it meant being face to face with Isaka again after... everything a few weeks ago.]]

[ Huh. He wants to show him in person? Isaka is surprised, but not about to turn down a chance like that. ]

I'm at my place.

Let's meet somewhere else.

[ And he sends along a map link that leads to a coffee shop that's close to the neighborhood where Isaka lives.

...everything from a few weeks ago was quite a lot. ]

10 minutes.

[[It's a little less than 10 minutes before Tachibana's bike pulls up outside the coffee shop. There's a definite tension and general moodiness that for once, is not caused by Isaka's existence or actions, but rather, dwelling on the situation he was going to be showing and talking with the Undead about.]]

10 minutes is not much time to leave and travel, but the location isn't far and coffee is not a time-consuming thing to obtain. By the time that Tachibana arrives, Isaka is already inside and waiting on an order for two cups of coffee to be poured and given over.

When the man enters, he'll turn his head and give him a neutral look. This is a serious matter. He cannot quite find a reason to be smiling.

Tachibana scans the shop, relentless and doing his best not to fidget before he spots Isaka and gives a small nod and heads over.

The timing of it all is working out very well. Isaka gives him a nod, looks back to the barista working on preparing drinks, and ah, they've set them down to be taken. So he takes both of them, in paper to-go cups with little lids snapped on, and hands one to Tachibana. "You take yours black, yes?" And he'll find that's just what it is.

With drinks arranged, Isaka gives a little 'come along with me' tilt of his head and makes for a table in the far corner. Some moderate privacy for their meeting.

A visit to the garage...

That discussion on the network could have gone better... but it could have gone worse. Tachibana is still willing to give him the time of day, in a way, even if he's still tense and dismissive of the things he does. And because he is willing to give him the time of day, he has decided that he will take up some of that day. He will pay a visit. He will go and see him in person. He's a lot harder to ignore, in person.

So up he strolls to the garage where Tachibana does most of his work, wearing his usual dark coat over a more Prismatica-themed button-up shirt in varying shades of blue. The weather is getting a little cooler. He ought to dress like someone should for weather like this, if he doesn't want strangers to suspect there's something out of the ordinary with him.

"Keeping busy?"

Tachibana looked up from where he had both hands (gloved) into the body of the motorcycle he was working on, trying to properly set the latest rebuilt part into the grame, giving Isaka a faint scowl at the interruption.

"What did you want, Isaka?" he asked, attention mostly going back to the work in front of him.

"To see you." An honest answer, as far as he's concerned. It says nothing about the reasons he wants to see him... but he does want to see him. He steps in closer, head tilting slightly, trying to take in what he's doing.

He doesn't really get it. He does not understand engines. It's all quite inscrutable.

Tachibana glanced up again, eyebrow rising a moment before looking back at the task at hand. "About what?" he asked, a small grunt of annoyance escaping as he again tried to balance the part and twist the stubborn fastener that would hold it in place.

"About finding things to do together." That hits a little closer to what his real intentions are, here. Perhaps he can convince Tachibana to join him in the VR game again... or perhaps they can find time for another fight.

Speaking of closer, he steps even closer still. Though the work Tachibana is up to is still perplexing, Tachibana himself is worth approaching.

The got another pause and incredulous look from Tachibana before he shook his head slightly, letting out a slow breath. "If you want, you can start by making yourself useful. Hold this bit in place so I can screw it in, would you?"

[fusionjack]

He blinks. Which is probably a hard thing to notice behind those sunglasses of his, and comes across more as a silent pause. But frowns down at where Tachibana indicates, then reaches in and, indeed, holds 'that bit' in place.

"Like that?"

Tachibana experimentally loosens his hold on the part, making sure Isaka has it properly before shifting to make a two handed effort to secure the fitting that had been vexing him. Making sure it was tight enough, he let out a long breath, leaning back.

"Thanks. Just enough of a rough spot on that damned thing that turning the fitting was getting to be a real pain."

It feels... good, somehow, to see Tachibana look satisfied like that. When he pulls his hand away, it's done slowly. "...what exactly are you trying to do?" Whatever it was, he seemed to be.... enjoying himself...?
